The Block House Esports League (BEL) kicked off its Smash Ultimate season with a bang as high schools from across Michigan clashed in epic crew battles on Match Day 1. From thrilling nail-biters to dominating performances, let’s dive into the action-packed highlights of the day.
Mt Pleasant Gold vs. Fulton White
Match Day 1 started with a slow start for Fulton White. Kaden’s promising Joker couldn’t secure them a victory. A mirror match showdown between Connor and Kaden saw Connor emerging victorious. However, it was Kenley’s Hero who sealed the deal, giving Mt Pleasant Gold a 2-0 victory. With this win, Mt Pleasant Gold tied for first place in their group at 1-0. Next week, they face De La Salle, while Fulton White takes on Morey Yellow.
Mt Pleasant Violet vs. Morey Yellow
In a nail-biting three-game series, the teams battled fiercely. Kayden, Collyn, and Presten contributed heavily for Mt Pleasant Violet, but it was Alex’s Kazuya with a remarkable 12 eliminations who shone for Morey Yellow. Fulton Blue vs. Sacred Heart Red
